How to properly prepare nails

Nail prep is one of the most important steps in the entire nail process. If not done correctly and thoroughly, the durability will be shortened, and you risk the polish lifting around the cuticles.
How to do it: First, clean the nail with a gel wipe and cleanser. Then gently push back the cuticles. Use the knife end of the cuticle pusher to gently scrape across the nail plate and remove dead skin — gel, gel polish, and acrylic cannot properly adhere to dead skin and often cause lifting. Finish by cleaning the nail again so it is completely free of dust and grease.
Good prep is the foundation for durable nails.
